Hello friends, Hailey here! I'm so excited to share this journey with you. Please keep in mind that we are very busy and will try to update as much as possible. For more frequent updates, be sure to check us out on Facebook! This month alone, we have rescued 10+ cats, all of which were street cats! Street cats are our passion, although we love all cats. We are all hands on deck, which means that our Board of Directors are heavily involved in the hands-on action as well.
Our Vice President, Macie Brown, fosters and rescues just as many as our Executive Director, me! She has her own project in Virden (or a few projects, actually!) Our Secretary, Stacey Peters, does all of the lost and found work in Cumberland County and is always picking up injured cats from the side of the road. She is also frequently making home visits to give advice on care to owners of medical cases. Our Board President, Rebecca Coombs, has her first rescue since we've opened, a sweet little torbie bottle baby from Montgomery County. She is ALSO a medical case! We are so proud of our Becca, she is learning the ins-and-outs and doing a fabulous job.
I am currently working on the Pana colonies in Christian County. They have all been getting sick and dying, so I decided it's time to take action after we got a few adoptions. Follow their stories on Facebook! Our Social Media manager Hannah does a great job at keeping our socials aesthetically pleasing and posting updates for us, so when you see something creative, be sure to show her some love! I, on the other hand, like to mess up her pretty social media with my posts.
We are funded purely by public donations. Our rescue is YOUR rescue, so please, if you're feeling generous, send us a donation, the cats appreciate it, but SO DO WE! And a fun fact, I was born on Halloween. Can you guess what I'm dressing up as?
Happy Haileyween!
